In this summer’s of milking my weekends for all they’re worth, I finally hit Clouds Rest. It’s a 15-mile hike off Yosemite’s Tioga Road, aka Highway 120, my preferred part of the park. Not a whole lot to say other than I like the view much better than that of Half Dome, which chills at about 1,100 feet below Clouds Rest.

We were just there in Yosemite on Tioga Rd about 3 weeks ago.
The funniest thing that happened to us there was we saw a NAKED Skateboarder coming down Tioga Rd on the Lee Vining side. We at first thought it was a guy on a bicycle. Man this skateboarder was flying. And was Screaming WWeeeeeeeeeee.
We wrote about it in our Travel Blog , just google – Land Yacht Ahoy – Read the Aug 1st Entry. Kinda Long but Funny about the skateboarder.
That entire place is gorgeous. We have been traveling for the last 3 months and we took more pictures there than anywhere on our trip. 2 more months to go. Will be hard to top Yosemite.

Yes I agree. We actually went back the next morning at 8am with camera’s in hand. He was a no show. One Trick Pony. One Ride Bride. I was actually kinda glad he didn’t show.
